Description
Stratton House Hotel was originally owned by the Masters family in
the 17th Century. It was used as a private house by various owners
who were prominent in the 'wool trade' that made the area so
prosperous. Stratton House has been a hotel since 1947 and was
acquired by Forestdale Hotels in 1989.
During the time that Robin Collins has owned the hotel there has
been a substantial restoration and extension programme in
progress.
As you enter Stratton House you are greeted by a Cotswold
flag-stone floor, polished by the feet of visitors over the
centuries. The warm restful ambiance of this beautiful old
Cotswold house hotel envelopes you immediately. The peaceful
Drawing room beckons you to sit and contemplate the beautiful
walled gardens that it overlooks.
The Oak Room bar with its old oak parquet-flooring and enormous
fire-place, is an ideal meeting place to see old friends and new
over a drink before Lunch or Dinner. The Restaurant is a warm and
enticing dining room that compliments the exquisitely prepared
fresh English cuisine for which Stratton House Hotel is renowned.
Overlooking beautiful walled gardens with an abundance of roses,
fruit trees and magnificent herbaceous borders, it is hard to
imagine a more delightful place to enjoy that quiet Sunday Lunch
or Romantic Dinner.
The bedrooms at Stratton House Hotel are tastefully appointed and
are all en-suite, with electric trouser press, hairdryer, remote
control colour TV, direct dial telephone, Tea and coffee making
facilities.
The new wing has 3 light and spacious, purpose built Conference
Rooms. The Cotswold Room (1st Floor) comfortably holds 50 people
for a meeting. Stratton Rooms I and II (Ground Floor) interconnect
to accommodate conferences, dinner dances or weddings for up to
150 guests. The Library, in the oldest part of the house, is ideal
for small quiet meetings.
Stratton House Hotel is the perfect location for romantic
weddings, quiet meetings or for that peaceful
'stay-away-from-it-all' break.
Stratton House has ample car parking set within its own grounds.
Conference Facilities
Stratton House has four
meeting and conference rooms, 3 of which are purpose built. All
rooms have quiet locations, natural daylight and are spacious and
adaptable.
Stratton Rooms 1 and 2 can be integrated to provide for larger
functions - The Stratton Suite, The Library and the Cotswold Room.
The Library is a small intimate room, in the oldest part of the
building, perfect as a syndicate room or for a small boardroom
