Description
Moorland Links Hotel is a beautifully appointed Country Hotel
located within Dartmoor National Park. It is set in 9 acres of
beautiful grounds with breathtaking views over the Tamar Valley.
There is an all-weather tennis court in the grounds, magnificent
walks across adjacent moorland and the Links golf course can be
found close to the hotel.
Robin Collins, owner of Forestdale Hotels, purchased the Moorland
Links Hotel in 1984 and has made many alterations and additions
during this short time to ensure that the hotel meets the needs of
today's guests. As you enter the Moorland Links Hotel, you are
immediately aware of the tasteful furnishings and the elegant,
spacious Restaurant greets you with views over the oak fringed
lawns to the Tamar Valley beyond. The Restaurant offers a wide
range of English cuisine and is highly regarded locally for its
excellent food.
The comfortable, well-furnished Lounge with an array of prints can
be used for pre-dinner drinks, after dinner coffee, or simply to
relax.
Leading off from the Lounge is the elegantly decorated Gun Room
Bar, where excellent snacks and light meals are served.
Beyond the Restaurant and Lounge can be found the Chandelier
Ballroom, with patio doors opening out onto the well-manicured
lawns, giving the provision of linking into an impressive marquee
suite for a unique wedding reception, summer ball or corporate
lunch.
On the first floor can be found the Moorland room, which is
available for smaller business meetings or private lunch or dinner
parties.
After a day spent exploring Dartmoor, admiring the gardens,
playing tennis, visiting stately homes, or shopping in Plymouth,
the bedrooms at the Moorland Links offer a restful retreat. All
have been individually designed and decorated with your comfort in
mind and include hair dryer, electric trouser press, remote
control colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and all are
en suite.
Conference Facilities
Conferences and meetings
are an important part of our business - as a result, our staff are
trained to ensure the smooth running of events.
Larger conferences of up to 170 delegates can be staged in our
Chandelier Ballroom - or it can be divided into two sections for
smaller meetings. Three other rooms can be used for syndicate
meetings.
With our extensive grounds, Moorland Links can be used as an
exhibition venue - either outdoor or 'under canvas' - and is
particularly suitable for product launches of heavy agricultural
machinery or motor vehicles.
All of our rooms have good natural light, specialised lighting and
ample power points. Conference equipment includes flipcharts,
floods and spotlights, overhead projector and screen and a
catwalk. Further audio visual equipment can be hired by prior
arrangement. Photocopying and fax facilities are also available.
